I've mentioned it already.

Look ... let's leave it, eh?

We obviously disagree on this, but it's hardly worth arguing about.

He has a clause in his contract that says he can go back to the NRL. With what is going on he has admitted he wants to be closer to his family and considered going home. I don't blame him for trying to make that happen.

If he becomes a shadow of his former self once he signs like Barba did at Saints or like several players we have had over the years then fair enough, but I doubt he will.

Fair enough.

But still no explanations are being offered for why he wouldn't talk to the Wigan press when he was at Salford, but will talk to the NRL press now he's at Wigan.

Seems odd to me. And doesn't bode well.

Fair point. Can’t come back with anything to that

if he wants to go home then let him go (I wouldn't blame him) . We haven't had him long enough to say that we'll miss him

He's tweeted this afternoon:

A lot of uneducated & abusive tweets being sent to me. Listen to the whole interview not the 40 seconds you’re fixated on.
Whose to say my family won’t move over & I play my career out here.

I can't see Hastings going anywhere just yet. The NRL is in a far worse financial state than SL, talk of reducing the teams from 16 to 14 next season. That's sixty players with no club.

I can fully understand some English people not being happy when Bennett picked him for GB when he clearly sees himself as an Aussie.

It's an oddity, for sure. English when it suits you, but Aussie most of the rest of the time?

And it really paid off too.

No wonder the NRL sees us as a joke.
