Hardly earth shattering news.

An attempt at polishing a turd is at least an attempt......although the news isn't going to set the world alight, they're at least trying. Problem is, how many of 5he choir are left to preach too?
Still no attendance published for the double header.....they're still ashamed of the mess they've made if this year.....not what we think, but what IMG/RFL/SL will see....same old London....incapable as usual.

Eccles confirms he will be at the club in some position next season.

With the way DH and Loubster's mind works, he will probably be in Dustys suit as the mascot, as we yet again get a L1 coach, as after all that worked so well last time

Think the words used in the post match interview today was sending out a message to the fans “interim head coach” Mike Eccles

A number of factors at play here, but as I have often pointed out, Hughes track record of selecting managers as opposed to "getting lucky" like Henderson, Ward and now Eccles is absolutely dire......ABSOLUTELY.
Mac is a bang average coach who achieved something at Leeds that basically I could have done. In fact, it could be argued that McGuire et al coached themselves. Again at Toronto, he simply bought SL with a SL squad, which was then found out to actually not be SL standard at all, he achieved nothing of note when with us and he's so far behind Leigh this year he may well be out of work come October......
Powell......not so much out of his depth as a drowned corpse
Grima......less said the better, but looked like a bloke who put "qualified brain surgeon" on his CV because he once put a sticking plaster on a grazed knee......
Coleman......highly spoken of coach from the foot of L1 delivers a L1 side.... he makes Powell & Grima look like good appointments.....

If Eccles has said NO, then fair enough, but from the interview earlier in the week, it would seem that he is mulling it over and has requested clarity on what he is allowed spend.......if Hughes is of the opinion that this squad is good enough to challenge the top 2 next year (Fev and Toulouse) he needs his bumps felt.

I wonder who exactly was speaking highly of Mustard.

Pretty sure he does not actually want the job full time. Just hints from around the bazaars and wording of stuff

He said as much earlier in the season but things may have changed.

If I were the old owner and bankroller of Skolars I'd be asking "what could have been".....he's obviously not as good a coach as was thought....
