BT be fair, the best performing part of the team this season so far has been Andersons.

Perhaps if we parked the bus on the try line & just defended the rest we might to better. Of course, it could keep getting caught offside but hey ho.

Yes they’ve played a blinder. Not once have we turned up at the wrong ground. Might as well have done but credit where it’s due.
Remember the early part of the season where we generally defended well just had no attack? Those days are gone. Agreed let’s park the bus and go for a 0-0 against Dewsbury.

Hopefully we don’t get into a phase of playing well against the better sides (but ultimately losing) and playing badly against the weaker sides. Coming up is the must win against Dewsbury but the way Widnes are playing currently that might be a game to target as well. I wonder if we will have a new coach in by then? If not it’s difficult to see the point. Not sure we want to announce a new coach just prior to an absolute spanking by Rovers.

I could see Hughes having us continue with Mike Eccles til the end of the season, like with Tom Tsang last year after Danny Ward got the push

The only problem with that is the new coach (if there ever is one) might not like the ex-coach still at the club. We then lose a very good conditioning/fitness man. Different if Mike only does it for a couple of weeks though. Lord knows if Hughes is sounding anyone out, to paraphrase Titus Oates, I'm going to appoint a full time coach, I may be some time.

Yes wouldn’t surprise me. Worth remembering Eccles isn’t only the interim coach, he’s the interim assistant coach as well and I assume still fitness coach. If he carries this off there could be a mass cull of back room staff across the game as teams work out only 1 person necessary to prepare a team.

On the subject of letting staff go I see Juma and Greenlagh have both re-signed for Skolars. That makes sense to me and best all round and may free up some funds to strengthen the squad.

Both contributing to Skolars escape against Cornwall over the weekend. Skolars are as thankful for West Wales and Cornwall as we are of Dewsbury and Workington....shameful decline of London RL in a few short years. The last "full season" played by the club was 2019 where 10 wins wasn't good enough to stay at the top table....now we are praying that 10 points might keep us up :DEPRESSED:

Mike McGuire ex Wigan been sacked at wests
Give him a 5 year contract and tell him to structure the club with a view to being in SL with 10 academy players in the squad

He did a brilliant job at Wigan.
