Great post, but unless the team are doing it on the pitch no amount of marketing will swell the crowds sufficiently and given our recruitment to date I cant see it happening next season.

Great stuff, lets hope the club act on these. Re. #18 we really do need to make a positive of clashes with other events by adjustign out start time and attracting folks into the bar. Big screens, beer promotions, Hearts at half times, a bookies, build up to our game etc

Excellent posting. The World Cup could turn the season into a media and casual supporter wipe-out, particularly if England go well, so we need to turn it to our advantage. As Sky won't have the football - listed event - they will no doubt try to use big match days as a time to use up their contractural obligation to show the lower rating teams...like you know who.

I was 30 yesterday so all promotions on that theme gratefully recieved.

Seriously though, I hope the club are planning to use the 30th as much as possible. I found a Broncos shirt from a good ten years ago over the weekend, maybe like they did with the cheap ticket for football shirt wearing, pick a game and say that any fan wearing an old shirt from any era of our history can get a mate in free.

Good suggestion about Brentford as well. I go to Griffin Park a lot and a decent amount of people there still remember the Broncos being there and I think would come to the Stoop during the summer. Have some kind of voutcher in the last programme of the football season for example, the take up wouldn't be huge but a few is better than none.

The way the club screws up new kit launches (firstly by having 2 new kits every season) 90 per cent of the crowd turn up in "retro" wear anyway

Was looking forward to the 30th aniv. but lost heart after the disgraceful standards of the '09 season.

So would quitely suggest that 5000+ average gate and 6th+ finish is pie in the sky and always will be as long as we continue tobe linked to a club who cheat & lie in order to 'win'........the Twickenham Stoop is not the right location for rugby league, never has been and never will be.

Would rather see the London based SuperLeague franchise move in with a lower level C1/C2 football club than remain tied - and tarred - with the dreadful Harlequins brand.

However, that's not my problem or concern as can afford to watch good rugby league elsewhere be it in France or over the next three weeks down in Oz.

While 'Gutterfax' has loads of worthy ideas and suggestions it's all a waste of time as Chairman Hughes and his 'board' are unable to invest YET equally unwilling or should that be unable to bring in 'new' money.

Cally Hocknell is doing the marketing for the club. Has these ideas been passed on?

The Club watch these boards and as Cally is a marketing professional I will not intefere with what the club or she has planned. I have made my opinion (s) clear to the club on the direction I believe they should take and that is the end of that.
I wish Cally and the rest of the Team well for 2010 and unlike the few who pine for the club to fold due to the association with Union or the fact they want a return to the old days when we go for boom or bust.
Storminateacup and rupe1 are a perfect example of what the club don't need. So called "fans" who offer nothing but negativity......just because we play a style of football that isn't to their liking (or anyone else at the moment either)somewhere that isn't accessible by their zimmers or/and because we share a name with a union team.
Good luck for 2010 to all involved!
