He made a mistake he and the club regretted at the time. Probably the making of him as it happens.

Stop spouting the party line. He was offered peanuts ( yes it was more than anyone else his age at the club but 20 peanuts is not much more than 10 peanuts).

Our chief exec thought we could keep him on the cheap and that if anyone tried to sign him they would be put off with the compensation fee.

It all backfired when Hull knew how to get a round it so they could offer him more and have to pay no compensation.

Connor wanted to get out of the deal but could not and the only way we could get him back was to pay Hull money to re sign our own player.

Gross incompetence by the club.

Thewlis has made some bad decisions in his time, especially the Jake Connor fiasco. However, you have to give credit where credit is due and this off season he seems to be really working with Woolford to make sure we have the best squad possible.

Everything I asked for has been done so far. A new half, Brough going etc.

Can we put the icing on the cake and bring in a loose or a big prop????

Spot on Durham at most clubs you would have gone for that alone, don’t get me started on communication lack of marketing kit launch etc etc. Shame as I feel Woolford has a lot to offer

There is some truth in that Woolford seems to be given the opportunity to shape the team.. we will see if we get anyone else and how it goes next season. I do have a feeling though that Woolford tenure will be decided by Frawley.

Jake Mamo has signed a new 1 year deal.

Giants trying to offload Walne and Rankin desperately.

We are still after a forward with 1 quota spot left.

Very interesting on Mamo if so, presumably on less wages, guess he couldn't get an nrl gig. He's a talent for me and still young, maybe try and develop him and darnell under Grix and tell them the shirt is up for grabs.

Not sure if we need another forward, however if we got rid of Walne id take a Garbutt or Amor, I suppose that would free Taai up to play second row.

There isn’t a quota spot though unless either Mano or Ikihifho leave. Matagi took Wakeman’s spot. Hinchcliffe has gone and presumably Rankin and we have brought in Frawley and Uate.
