Connor had a poor game imo
leeming is a Super League 9 now - crisp distribution and good defence
Broughton did ok, didn't see the ball at all

Next week I want to see Wardle back at 4, ferries at 11 and Taai at 13
Bruno on the bench and cudjoe back at 3

If London is Athens, Yorkshire is Sparta, a tougher community and proud of it.

Connor needs to be more careful with his lairiness & needle that he has. Be smarter with it. Less chunter at the refs as well.

You need a degree of aggression and so on but you need to be smart. Hopefully that will come soon.

Spot on, he's got a lot to learn yet. Grix would have been crucified on here after that 1st Cas try and some of the silly pens he gave away

THE BIRTHPLACE OF RUGBY LEAGUE

Re: Castleford V Huddersfield (Thursday) : Fri May 22, 2015 12:28 pm
Good to get the win at a difficult place, done the double over them and its 3 away wins on the bounce now in the league :D

Thought the changes to the team from anderson were good calls, especially ferres down the middle, went really well although could have shown abit more composure at times with some wayward passes!

wardle looking great in the second row too.

leeming for me is becoming very impressive, our number 1 hooker, would like to see him and ellis interchanging, think robinson is past it now and gets targeted too much by the opposition.

the intensity showed lastnight was what i wanted to see and we got it from the off, shame we didnt do that in the cup!

as for the decisions from the video ref i thought they were the correct ones..

huby had the ball stripped but regained it to put it down

murphy scored after the ball came off solomona not mcgillvay

crabtree had the ball down on the line in one movement. silverwood was only a few feet away and could see it was on the line just went to see for double movement which there wasnt

anycase we were still in the lead! and good to get some decisions swing our way for a change

Good win at a hard ground to win at.

Wardle was my man of the match and shouldn't be put back in the centre spot unless we are desperate. He's wasted at centre with his speed, strength, energy levels, passing game, defence and support play.

Ferres getting back to his best too and looked very dangerous at 13.

I'm still not sure about Connor at centre. He's still very young but still feel he's suited to fullback.

Nothing wrong with any of our try's. Wouldn't complain if they were scored against us. Crabtree's in particular to me was practically nudged over by the last man in the tackle.

I've said for awhile I'm just happy with points over performance but I'd like abit of varaity now. We either throw it about and force play all game or keep it simple all game. Put both together and cut out penalties and errors and we could win something.

Absolute bull mate, have a word with yourself. Crabtree stops short. The tacklers boot is on the line and Crabtree lands before it, after the movement stops he pushes his weight forward just enough so that the ball rolls with him over the line! You can literally see the pattern of the ball go from purple when he lands, to white after he rolls it.

I think you're right. But I've given up worrying about the times we're on the end of rubbish decisions, so I'm not going to waste a moment apologising for being on the right end of them from time to time.

It was the defender landing on Crabtree that forced the ball over IMO. IT wasn't an intentional movement by Crabtree. It's a weird one.

There was a big change in attitude and work rate , so straight away there was improvement, Cas are a tough side at home. Leeming continues to look good and I agree with what someone said about Conner, he needs to calm down and channel his aggression in the right places, but to be fair the whole team are just a penalty machine at times.

For once some calls went our way, if we had been playing Leeds I would have put money on them going the other way. Well done , need to keep up the intensity.

Well there are a number of points there, some people believe his momentum was stopped other that the defenders actions put him over. Another point that seems to be missed is after the ball came off the boot you could not see any green between the ball and the line (the front of the ball not the side).

Ultimately it was sent up as try and there was no conclusive proof the ball did not touch the line even before the movement and nothing definitive about whom caused the movement. The flip side is of course that if sent up as no try it would not have been given, the video could support either view.

I believe that had there been no video ref that try would be given each and every time and not be seen as controversial. Watch it at full speed.
