Where are they now : Fri Aug 11, 2023 7:25 am
Seem to be lacking the big hitting posters.
Have they gone somewhere else?

He certainly is, he needs to realise he's thec1 that's signed these players & he's the 1 who needs to wake up & do it bloody quickly & realise that Russell isn't a SL player.

I'm hoping its lesson lernt for next season & it's a Lolohea/Ckune partnership & its young Rush as the back up.

Another season over near enough and another disappointment. I well remember the general Hype and posts about Giants being one of the contenders ( we all do ) and yet here we are again with nothing to shout about.
Another batch of new players and i know that once again there will be talk of how well we have recruited and what a strong squad the Giants
have. Well we had all that last year so why get our hopes up that this year it's all going to be different. Yes last season we did get to the CC final and to be fair we really should have won it but the style of football we played and again this year is never going to get us to where we want to be, and it's never going to bring the missing fans in either.

I know there are fans who think IW can get us there in the 5 years he was given to do the job, I must admit i am not one of them, i have seen nothing in his style of coaching that makes me think he can live up to the claims he makes. I really hope I'm wrong cause iv'e watched Fartown for a lot of years living in hope that we would come good. We have had a couple of good patches in my time watching. Under A Murphy we were a strong and capable side that were worth watching and of course under N Brown we were the best iv'e ever seen us, He turned some talented players into top internationals and played a style of football that got people turning up to watch. What a true shame it all went belly up .
So it will all start again next season with as i say more new players and no doubt a lot of claims to to go with them, but if we are going to be playing the likes of Russell Peats Milner and Masters then i'm afraid we shall be going nowhere again and i shall not be there to see it . So for me the ball is in Mr Watsons court , He knows how to talk the talk it's time to show he can do the walk, I really hope he can.

Your right it was a great result and credit to them for it, We have had half a dozen great results during the season but sadly the rest has been a true disappointment, We live in hope and put our faith in Mr Watson :D

we are great at hammering Hull, Wakefield and Castleford (lowest three in competition), other than two freak results over Catalans we have been beaten by every other side and yet Watson still goes on about bad luck and injuries and how it could all have been different. Don't expect anything different next year, he still says things would have been different if RUSSELL had been fit all year, the guy who has virtually no tries or try assists to his name and plays half back. He still thinks we don't need another dummy half and is happy with Peats and Milner there.

Well, we'll both be pleased as Peats has announced that Friday will be his last game & he's retiring.

I'm sure a younger Peats would've been a cracking signing but this season, he hasn't been good enough but in his defence a little bit we were spoilt last season with Danny Levi - who imo is 1 of the best 9s I've seen in a Giants shirt.
