Just a thought: -
Do contracts run to 31 October, (logical, if training starts in November) or 30 November? (that rings a faint bell from when I was working at the club)
If it's November, that could explain why nothing has yet been said about last season's players still not apparently signed up. (e.g. McNally, Ridyard, Adamsons etc.) or those who we are rumoured to have signed, or made an offer to. Certainly nothing has been said by any other clubs, about signing our players, or us signing theirs.
End of thought - don't want the brain to overload!!
Alan,i've heard a whisper that the Adamsons could be heading for Swinton.

Yes - doesn't look like they will be with us. My point was about why we aren't hearing anything 'official', from any club, about 'our' 2019 players, or possible 2020 players.

Sorry Al, I did miss your point. Maybe there will be a big reveal all on Black Friday.

Things very quiet on squad front.. does that mean we are dual reg again with Saints or Wig?
Not necessarily. JD did mention at the Xmas lights switch on that there would be some "big names to announce in the next week or two."
I still have this inkling that contracts may only expire at 30 November - hence names not appearing in the public domain - either those we may be signing, or those who are going elsewhere.
** In fact, a quick browse of the Operational Rules, in C1:3:20, it states that contracts end on 30 November **

What will be , will be Alan, it’s nice to see we have someone who has checked the ORs.

Preliminary contracts! The ones that wait for better offers before the deadline?
Widdops pre contract at Wire obviously more transparent.
I saw Duffy post a picture of a training session which included, Riddy, gregg and woods. Also heard whispers of brierelys return, and saw stuff online Anyone know anything about these?

The Ryan one was posted by his brother - maybe a wind-up, maybe not!
Personally, I would want something different at half back. I like Riddy, Ben, Ryan and Woods, but that's almost the combination we had last year. I would rather we brought in someone with the 'x-factor-' - the ability to change a game.

Let's hope that third offer was better than pitiful part time wages and a demand to train a youth team 3 times a week for free.
So following on from the above post, are you now able to confirm if young Ridyard secured a very favourable & lucrative deal from the decision maker of if he is still expected to work for free as you originally insuated for all to conclude ?
