This is music to my ears - local lads, in charge of a mainly local group of players. Just read what two of our new coaching team have to say about representing their/our club:-

That's nice, but if we were aiming for Super League next season, not many of them would be at the club right now.
Guess you can't have it 'both ways' can you ?

We need to sign a few more to solidify the team and there is a few in the pipeline who are good players who just need to be tied up.

Duffy played under Millward and Rowley and I expect us to play expansively, irrespective of the team we have. Lets hope the few players who have yet to confirm do indeed sign. After last season, consolidation is key.

I have not held a season ticket now for some 8 years, but I may now get one to support the club more, and take my little boy too. As fans, we need to talk via the turnstiles !

Its actually refreshing and quite exciting !!

We were entertained under those coaches and hopefully we will return to that style of play and the togetherness that we had with all associated with the club, the passion was there for all to see, players, coaches, directors and more importantly us the supporters.

Hopefully (work permitting) I'll re-new my season ticket this weekend.

Had a brief chat to JD this evening - his enthusiasm and passion for the club, is infectious. Pity he doesn't have the time to chat to about 5,000 other Leythers!

I was assuming the extra 6,700 ( or is it 6,699?) were going to be persuaded by we existing fans!

No!

I think the club may tell us more now they seem to have finished announcing shirt sponsors. For some reason, they appear to believe that we supporters would rather hear about the loyal sponsors, who pay to have their names on the shirts, rather than the players who are paid (I hope!!) to have their names on the shirts! (and to be fair to those sponsors, I'm very impressed with the loyalty and support they have shown to the club)
