A very good signing for Wire, I've watched Nicholson coming through the scholarship and academy at Wigan and he is a great prospect. I'm not sure if he is best suited to 2nd row or loose forward.
From a Wigan p.o.v. I'm really sorry to see him go but he has a lot of competition in front, around and pushing him.
Farrell, Bateman, Isa, Smithies, McDonnell, KPP and Nsembo are also fighting for those places, so he probably has an easier pathway to 1st team at Wire.
Really disappointed to see him leave but good luck to him

Thanks Brian,

A good addition to our backrow for the future, from all the reports from the Wigan fans, who have posted about him on here.

I think we'll forever be waiting for Currie to get back to his best. It's never going to happen.

Sadly, it does look that way.

It looks to me that Currie is involved with the dissent against Powell that a lot of our senior players have taken.

With Charnley now gone, King gone for this season, and Cooper gone for 2023, the player group should understand that they will not win this battle of minds.

Confirmed
Great signing from Warrington, but got to be massively concerning for Wigan. He's clearly their best young forward and now they can't keep him not only away from the NRL, but from a Super League rival. Bizarre stuff.
Available with immediate effect, which is a bonus.
Wow. Powell is making big changes.
i quite like this one, the last junior loose forward we signed, halifax born, with nrl interest was simon grix

The problem is we are stacked at second row and his pathway to becoming a starter in the first team won’t come easy no matter how good a prospect he is. We have 2 senior England back rowers who have plenty of years left on the clock and good players both further along in their development and also coming up behind him. It’s a salary cap sport and I’m guessing we have deemed his demands too high for someone who isn’t in the match day squad which is fair enough it’s just a little frustrating we didn’t get him tied down on a reasonable wage sooner.
Nice to see Wigan fans unhappy at us signing one of their players for once rather than laughing at us.
Potentially a huge signing for Warrington, although some won't appreciate it yet.

It isn't just Wigan that have lost out. He's turned down an offer from Wayne Bennett at the Dolphins and chose us.
