Ok didn’t see that coming, Widdop at fullback and Philbin starting though he may aswell start because he is doing nothing off the bench.

Longstaff should play instead of J Clark at every single opportunity….and that bench is pretty woeful.

I can only think that Widdop at fullback will prove a bit of an unknown quantity for Saints' defence. Might be our only hope. Either that or Powell is basically just trying anything different in the hope it pays off for once. As bad as Widdop has been this year, I'd still put him at halfback ahead of Ratchford, who is probably better under the high ball. Maybe they'll interchange positions during the game.
