So, you're telling me that they take up £520k of the salary cap? The two marquees take up another £300k. So that leaves £1.3m between 21 other players. And those players include Ratchford, King, Currie, Clark x 2, Hughes, Charnley, Cooper. No way.

I can’t tell you I didn’t make it up. That’s all I can say.
Wether you want to believe it is up you’s.
About £1m of out cap is spent on 6 players.

In hindsight, a woeful season was probably needed to prompt a major overhaul of the squad instead of just tinkering round the edges. The reality is we have combined very poor recruitment policy with a number of our senior players being past their best. Cooper, Ratchford, D Clark, Charnley and Currie are in the latter group who have served us well but are no longer able to compete at the top level and to have that many at one time suggests inadequate long term planning.
It is unlikely that any coach could turn that around in one season which Lee Briers alluded to when he left to join Wigan.
On a more positive note, we have some really talented youngsters we can build a team round in Thewlis, Wrench, Longstaff, Dean , Ashton and Walker and I like the look of Leon Hayes and Lucas Green in the Academy.
So new recruitment will determine the success or otherwise of DP so let’s give him the chance instead of knee jerk criticism.

New 2 year deal for Jason Clark would be standard at the moment. #Kisskamout

They are returning with £5 worth of effort.

And we have the winner of duckie's most ridiculous ever post competition. And it's beaten off some serious contenders!!

Some massive competition for that award, but I tend to agree, this is next level bafoonery of the highest order.

Exactly. These problems have been developing for a good few years.
