Charnley will be on a good wage, and alot of tries he scores could be scored by most other wingers about who would be on a much lower wage. Fair enough he does score some brilliant tries but the vast majority he scores Minikin could score himself for much less money. For me it just makes more sense as a business to pay less money for pretty much the same results, and that saved money can be allocated elsewhere. Not saying there might not be a falling out as it's a possibility, but i think it's purely business.
We’re paying him for the year anyway. Why fall oh with him and dump him in the reserves? If the reason is that Wrench’s development is the most important thing right now, fine, I can live with that. My point is, that if Wrench is dropped for Minikin when he is available, then then the development argument in null and void. I’ve been saying for months to play wrench. I just think if we’re dropping people in the name of development, let’s develop the player in their most suitable position. Drop or shift King and give Wrench a crack at holding that shirt for 10 years
