The curse of a twelve point lead strikes again, we all knew the script when a certain centre passed inside that we didn't have enough to discourage anyone but the home support....This week's grand fromage, making a charge for the top is The Speculator with 13 points the rest of us crumbled like our team and slab of Cheshire as follows,

A game of two halves....but there's only one Prediction Comp winner this week none other than our regular pundit and welcome guest Wanderer...altogether now " VALDERI VALDERA...." to celebrate his 15 well earned points. Considering it was a 'nothing' game at the end of a distinctly disappointing season it was a decent turn out in the Wire end whio were 'treated' to a glimpse of the future as both sides featured some youngsters. Salford will be glad that they avoided having to travel to the South of France and we can be happy not to suffer further embarrassment.

In typical Bullardesque fashon "Rugby is the Winner" this week with 18 big points the rest of us, well we've work to do over the next three weeks as follows

A correction to the previously published results, (hopefully just in time and apologies to CW8 Douglas Black) as I missed that our 'south Cheshire' colleague had correctly picked 12 minutes as the first try time The rest of us need to get a little hand for our watches as follows

Well as a collective we really showed our general Rugby League knowledge with this week's winner what must be the lowest Wire Yed winning scores which I think says more about the collective than to The Speculator.

Who would have guessed that Sanits would beat Leeds 24v12? Well this week's winner that's who, the 'King of Powys' himself Builth Wells Wire with 24 points. The rest of us like Warrington, will have to wait until next year to pull off the big one..

However, after a season long slog who is 'king of the hill, top of the heap".....read 'em and weep

My wishful thinking that Saints would collapse during the run in cost me dear!

Huge thanks to Uncle Rico for running the competition. It was more fun than the actual rugby most weeks this season, unfortunately. Let's hope that 2023 brings happier times for Wire. Oh, and hats off to Builth Wells Wire for getting the Grand Final score exactly right - respect!
