Although it's always a warm feeling coming away from Headingley with the spoils, my guess FWIW is that this was a game where Channel 4 were probably happier than Powell and for that matter definitely happier than Agar.

a) Score and Winning team: Leeds 20 v 22 Warrington
b) First try (Wire player): Widdop
c) Time of first try: 12 mins
d) Last try (any team, player not time): Wrench
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined): 7 kicks
f) Attendance (500 margin) 14,135 (13,885 - 14,385)

g) St Helens v Catalans St Helens by 20
Castleford v Salford Salford by 10
Hull KR v Wigan Wigan by 14
Toulouse v Huddersfield Huddersfield by 28
Wakefield v Hull FC Hull FC by 4

A bit of Nellie Pledge for those of a certain age as 'Our Walter' came out on top this week with an aptly named Bakers Dozen the rest of us were in a pickle as follows

A pleasing win, a few questions answered, would our pack stand up without Cooper and Clark, are we better off with Mamo or Mata utia, all topped of with whizzy rascal, who can ask for anything more.....apart from perhaps a higher gate?

Well a wins a win I suppose and if it wasn't for the last minute antics of old ' Hollaback Girl' himself the margin might have seemed more predictable.

This week's winner is forum almanac MorePlaymakersNeeded with handy 15points who no doubt would remind that today in 1983 it was Ronald Reagan's first reported use of the term "Evil Empire" about you know where. Whilst the rest of us 'dopes' were with Paul and Linda McCartney on the naughty step as follows

Another poor showing, unfortunately as the Yogi Bear saying goes "it's like de ja vu all over again"

a) Score and Winning team St Helens 28 v 2 Warrington
b) First try (Wire player) Parry Gordon
c) Time of first try, 25 mins
d) Last try (any team player not time), Lomax
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined), 5
f) Attendance (500 margin), 16,118 (15,868-16,368)

g) Leeds v Hull FC, Hull FC by 23
Wakefield v Toulouse, Wakefield by 12
Salford v Hull KR, Hull KR by 10
Huddersfield v Castleford, Huddersfield by 12
Catalans v Wigan, Catalans by 28

Top mark this week goes to eddie H with 11 the rest iof us were swimming against the tide by varying degrees as follows and whilst most of us went for a Saints win absolutely no one got the great Parry Gordon as our first try scorer.

I couldn’t get my prediction in. There was some bug that wouldn’t let me post. It cleared after the wire game.
Still other than predicting Huddersfield correctly and a a big win for cats, prediction was pants.
Although I could argue I got the first wire try scorer correct as I wasn’t able to enter a name!!!

RD this bears no resemblance to the Prediction that I marked. You predicted a Wire win by 9 and got 2pts for 5 kicks plus 1pt each for Wakefield, Huddersfield (which wasn't correct) and Catalans (which was a win bigger than the 7 you predicted).

Other than that spot on.

Only Dita's Slot Meter with a well timed prediction saw this one coming, well him and the opposition obviously, as they definitely fancied their chances

a) Score and Winning team: Warrington 22 v 38 Wakefield
b) First try (Wire player): Ashton
c) Time of first try:2 mins
d) Last try (any team, player not time): Escare
e) Kicks over the sticks (combined):10 kicks
f) Attendance (500 margin) 8,164 (7,914 - 8,414)

g) Wigan v Castleford Wigan by 10
Catalans v Hull KR Catalans by 8
Salford V Leeds Salford by 14
Toulouse v St Helens Toulouse by 2
Hull FC Huddersfield Hull FC by 8
