A year ago we announced the signing of Greg Inglis, and I for one was really excited about it. Yes, he'd been out of the game for a while, but this is a legend of the sport we're talking about, and he had the best part of a year to get himself in shape, so it would be fine, surely? In January he arrives, and he's clearly not in great condition, but he's still got a couple of months of training ahead, so hopefully no cause for alarm. The first game comes around, and he's still not ready to play. OK, better to be safe than sorry, maybe? Six weeks in, and he finally makes his debut, still clearly not in good shape. But he scores a try, we put 50 on Hull KR, so let's take the positives, yes? Now he's played three games, still doesn't look anywhere near fit, has predictably got injured, and perhaps most worryingly of all, he doesn't even look like he's enjoying himself out there. I really, really wanted this signing to be a fantastic success, but I have to be honest, even before he got injured, he was looking like a bit of a passenger. I would love to be proved wrong, and I cling to the hope that it's still too early to judge, but it really doesn't look like this one's going to work out.

Sadly a typical “shiny new thing” signing of recent times. The guy has a whole host of medical and mental issues so RETIRED 2 feckin years ago!!!! He looks so far off what he was it’s not funny, he’s not even at 50% after 12 months of training. He’s done, finished, can’t do it no more. Utterly ridiculous signing all in all. Grrrrrr....
I'll put up with a 25% Greg Inglis now, so long as we have at least a 80% Greg Inglis come the knockout stages - rather than as we've seen all too often, players peaking in May/Jun and fading come Sept.
He’s clearly not match fit, and his round 6 was also way off the mark. It is right to play him though. He’ll be somewhere near in time for the 3rd face up with Cas. As a Duckyism, match fit he isn’t, but he is seemingly struggling with not playing on top of the surface. Like some horses don’t go on the soft, he can’t seem to get his style of heavy paced running. I think he is crying out for a dry pitch.

We've got him, so let's judge him when his bags are packed and he's in the Qantas queue at Ringway.
BTW I'm glad he looks unhappy he should be with that. I know restrictions are lifting but better that than all the back slapping hugging and sharing a joke nonsense...after a performance like that, shake hands respect your opponent and head off to the dressing room for a dressing down.

This, as another poster on here said, wigan fans used to moan about lockers missing the early rounds and regular season, they didn't give a poop when he was turning up at the play offs and getting them to grand finals.
