Well briers is leaving at the end of the season, must have known his time was up.
I wonder if he'll get an opportunity in the championship maybe?
All the best to him and i hope he gets another job elsewhere, i loved watching him play and he gave great service to us especially once Smith came in.
All the best Lee.

He recently said in an interview, that he didn't see himself taking a head coach job in future. Great player, but as an attack minded coach didn't seem to have the required effect. Looking forward to the new era with fresh faces to be honest.

My all time favourite player, good luck Lee

Good news for all concerned I think. I found it very hard to see how he could develop as a coach without going into a new environment and testing himself in different ways. Otherwise you are just the guy in the corner muttering 'that's not how we used to do it.'

Best of luck Lee and thanks for 25 years' great service.

Depends what you're looking for.

Burgess, Ellis and Thaiday for strenth and being a nother prop.

If you want the whole package then Lockers is the best right now.

All the best to him. Even given his inconsistencies in the early part of his career, even carried into the middle part of his career, he is surely our best player of the Super League era given his longevity and impact on many games.

One of the best I've seen in the P&B. Unplayable on his day. I wish him all the best.

The epitome of a “play what you see” player, few and far between. Great player for us and for all I know could be a really good assistant...
Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

The Axe. Very good player. Not many players with the vision, pass selection and accuracy. I enjoyed watching him play and his combination with Westwood, Bridge etc on that side was brilliant.
Great exponent of the cumberland throw.
Will never forget that crossfield kick to Riley in his own quarter at Wembley.
Some coaches struggle when they have to coach players that cannot see or execute to the level that they did when they were playing. I don't know if a Briers falls into that category.
