Is confirmed new head coach at Hull. A lot of the fans over there are really not happy about it.

Most of the sensible ones are and are at least willing to give him a chance.

Most wanted some top NRL coach, but it's very rare that those type of coaches come to SL.

Personally I have him ahead of Ratchford as fullback.

I'd have taken him as our head coach. Good luck to him.

What has Hodgson done that would make him a good head coach for us other than being a good player for us and having spent some time as an assistant. We could appoint Lee Briers if that was the criteria.

What is his CV missing? Failed stint as head coach in the NRL? I think it's a good appointment.

Ahead?? Hodgson is in a different world to Ratchford as a FB. Unless you mean right now in which case Hodgson is probably just ahead.

Great players don't always make great managers. Bit of a gamble for them.

Indeed, huge gamble. He doesn't even have the initial conciliatory buffer of being an ex-player to fall back on - the fans will be on his back sharpish if he doesn't start well particularly as I sense HKR will be much improved in 2021.

I wonder how he'll get on with that Smith character on the other side of the river?
