But it's not stopped raining since our much acclaimed half back pairing have played last 2 games. Get Hill back, dry firm pitches and players having the right attitude and results and, more particularly, performances will follow. With or without SP though is the question. If with SP and results/performances pick up, will there be so much criticism on this forum? I think not and we call Stains fans - pot kettle black!!
And here we go
1. Time to gel - tick 2. Dry pitches - tick 3. Get all our players back - tick
What are the other bingo phrases we normally get
4. Build momentum / confidence 5. Its not how you start the season 6. Nothing won in February 7. Short turn around
Steve Price is getting exactly the criticism that a coach with an atrocious league form record and performances for the last 6 months deserves.
Ok. Points noted. But what is the alternative? Who would replace him?
Incidentally, I was in David Lloyd's earlier this week and the whole squad and coaching staff were having a recovery session from Wakefield game. Relationships between players and coaches and, especially, SP looked really good so no way has he lost the dressing room. Rather than having an easy pop at the coach and CEO, do we honestly think our squad and players are as good as we believe? I personally do. Remember are the cups won in February???
Let's forget about Moran and Middleton. They've bigger fish to fry.. Despite them being local lads AND fans, it's quite obvious their interests lay elsewhere We're their "train set", their "model aircraft" their "go kart" etc. ...a hobby, that they've entrusted the care of, (into the hands of) Muppets.
Fitzpatrick, an ex RL player that's been given the title of CoO is now our hirer and firer. Not a time served businessman. How would duckie put it. Rugby players are thi.... Well, Karl Smith was on a downward spiral for years, yet he stayed for years. Everyone knew he was going in the spring of 2017. Eventually, in the early days of September, he announced he was leaving. It took you a MONTH to come up with Price. The buck stops with you Karl, and the poor coach YOU brought in. To be honest, a few daft stunts with a man dressed up in a Wolf costume MAY bide you a little time, and a few YouTube likes, but,.to the cash paying CUSTOMERS (because THATS what we are, not fans), it doesn't wash.
Garbage! I know that Moran and Middleton would cherish a grand final win before any business deal! And I would like to know what more those 2 could do apart from let the coach assemble a WORLD class squad
KF as CEO is akin to Chelsea appointing someone like Neil Ruddock as CEO. Simply wouldn't happen
Off season we lost a top draw centre in Goodwin and our response was to bring in a player from the division below, who regardless of any recent transgressions, wasn't even the best player at the club he came from and who are now our offload team. To use the same comparison as above this is a bit like Chelsea losing Eden Hazard and bringing in Stewart Downing.
We also desperately needed a new front line prop but went fishing in the division below for an unproven reserve player. Having realised our mistake we appeared to panic buy a player who has lost his way and his form in Latu. A bit like Chelsea buying someone like Barry Bannan.
I've said it before. Financial power of Chelsea, business acumen and ambition of Newcastle Utd. WWRLFC in rugby League terms

In reply.
1. Henderson as interim head coach.
2. Never said that he had lost the dressing room. Cullen was close to his players right until the end.
3. Easy pop? Lose 10 games in 13, not win away for 6 months and struggle to beat Toronto at home you are going to attract critique
4. I believe with 2 x marquee players and a crop of internationals, we have a squad that is capable of beating Wakefield and which should have put the game out of sight today by half-time.

Some of these analogies are a bit OTT...Bryson Goodwin and Eden Hazard Pedro/Giroud maybe.
We know. I know your fishing, sally. BUT. I think even Price's mum must admit, this is enough.
IF we want near term success, this fella is NOT the answer.
Not fishing, it's a reasonable position that achievement in the past gets you an extended credit line.
It's the same reason why Ben Currie gets more time to get back to form than other players would, because he's done things in the past that other players haven't.
Last year's CC was probably the biggest achievement out of the 4, when you consider who we had to beat along the way and the fact we were heavy underdogs in the final.
