He's announced his retirement as a player. No great surprise as the days of a player/coach are long gone but I can't think of any other player who had so much talent and so little luck. Wonderful servant for us which ever position he was asked to fill. Thanks Grixy.

Always said that he had wonderful feet. Much underrated and very unlucky with injuries.

Future Wire coach, he'll get his day at Wembley yet.

I hope so, I'm pretty sure he would have been our captain but that spiral fracture ruined it. Very classy rugby player, a real shame we didn't see him in the pnb for longer. I'd love him to win a trophy as our coach in the future.

Grix always came across as one of the cleverest players.... i remember him having a purple patch... back in the days of peak Morley and Solomona.... he ran the lines and carved up a fair few sides.... then he got a bad one...

sliding doors moment that.... injury free, he could have been a regular international.... i think he could make a very good coach.
Massive pessimist

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Sure this the game when Clarke went on and on about the momentum rule saying it was like jumping off a train in Batley and landing in Dewsbury..that's how described the forward pass that led to sinfield scoring...the mind boggles
