Self preservation was all to apparent for me in the first half but still did some muscle work practice. Just nobody wanting to go expansive.

2nd half after shed reminders and probably most of next week eventually out of mind...Wire got in the game and won the second half when I think any other team with exception of Saints would have conceded at best or collapsed.

The game sharpened up our forwards...that's pretty much all I wanted...the result was immaterial.

Enough shown in that second half to beat Saints...and that's without Austin

The Tim Wonnacott era was still the best, but I have to say Christina Trivanion is a super bit of english hallmarked scrumptiousness.

Matty Smith is significantly worse than I expected and expectations weren’t high. Philbin superb though in defeat.

But we r not playing well cos of players I've listed..honest question would any of that team tonight walk into Wigan's team..only Clark ratchford may be hill coops philbin the rest no so why should we put up with em
