At the end of the day Sky pump the most money in and without Sky Super League would do well to survive. Yes it's a massive inconvenience and a ballache for the players and the fans but it's the powers that be (Sky) who are putting the money in and therefore make the decisions.

Unfortunately, although sky are our main benefactors they haven't done a lot for the exposure of the game recently. Sky has made our tv exposure exclusive to paying customers except for superleague show & a few CC games on BBC. Sky has made the game so exclusive to viewers that it has actually marginalised Rugby League. Add to that the farce of short turnarounds & sky's demands are not so conducive to the good of our game. Contrast the free to air exposure that RU has compared to ours & it looks like something has gone amiss with our marketing team.
