Not as lucky as us. We played wigan fresh off a plane, half of hulls team and cas' academy side....and we lost one of them. Saints weren't good last night, haven't been for a few weeks but just keep winning. I loathe them but they're not lucky.

I think RD is on a one man mission to wind up as many people as he possible can regardless of their allegiances.

One thing from last nights game is that I hope that any thoughts we will stuff Leeds in the Semi Final and already one foot in the final have been put firmly to bed. We really need to tie them up in the tackle to stop the Harlem Globetrotter antics, and if we don't it could be a long afternoon.

Not a mission in the least. I find it very easy with you.

Re: None Wire tv games : Sat Jun 16, 2018 11:13 am
You'd have thought I was chairman of the Jimmy Saville Appreciation Society when I recently called Saints, in reference to Barba, a one-trick pony.

Since then, heavily depleted (and heavily penalised in one case) Hull and Leeds teams have pushed them very close, with the common factor being they have done a job on Benny boy.

I maintain that if you shut Barba down, most of Saints attack is nullified. Yes Roby is still one of the best, Richardson looks good but they aren't gamechangers.

If Moon had nailed Percival when he was going sideways faster than a crab on a conveyor belt, Leeds would have won. If Ferres had scored nearer the sticks like he should have, Leeds would have won. If Hull had been allowed to keep 13 players on the pitch, Saints would be out of the cup.

I salute Saints tenacity and luck has nothing to do with it but their season hangs on one man, and it ain't Jon Wilkin.

Can't give you an argument.
That's my point. Other than I do think they've had the fortune, if you discount it as luck, to meet the bigger opponents while injury hit.

Saints are unquestionably the best team this season, and may well win the treble. But they aren’t nearly that far ahead of their rivals as Sky seem to think. They’ve started very well and generally maintained that form, with the occasional plucky victory. I don’t think they’re the foregone conclusion in tight finals though. I’d still back Wigan and possibly us and Hull, to push them at a grand final. The cup final might be their chance to blow a team away on a dry firm pitch.

Leeds are pis poor.
They are becoming embarrassing.
The penalties they got suckered were pitiful.
