From a good source, John Squire knows nothing about this. More than likely to be PR from Silvertone who are planning to release a 20 year anniversary edition of The Stone Roses album

This Spike Island gig is turning out to be 1 of those gigs where in 20 years time the world and his wife was there,bit like the pistols at the electric ballroom.

Personally I did'nt go,but remember the reviewers not being impressed at all.

Trust me mate i was there..we went on a coach from Padgate college where I was doing my art foundation course.
Hot day, got drunk, etc.. (ahem), during the afternoon then waited an eternity until the Roses came on.
Ended with a firework display. Frankie Knuckles from NY did a DJ set. Walked home from the gig to my parents house in Penketh.

Convinced now?!

i dont doubt that you went,but as an outstanding event in musical history,I dont think it quite ranks with Madness at Finsbury Park in 92
