With injuries, HIA absences and silly bans, clubs are going to need lots of squad depth this season, so I'd only be OK with Dwyer leaving if we can bring someone else in as a result of it. I'm hoping that must be the reason behind it.

Ben Harthill who played in the same Academy Team as Leon Hayes is a good prospect as a specialist hooker and wouldn`t let us down if he got the odd game this season. He created the space in the Widnes 1st Team defence for Hayes to slice through and pass to Taylor-Wray in the recent friendly game.

We need to continue to develop our own players where possible, and not import as many as we have in the past

If we're trying to offload Dwyer do we have someone in mind to sign with his wage adding to the remaining salary cap?

Good, i'd rather he goes on loan rather than just getting rid of him. Like a few have mentioned, injuries play a part so i'd rather still have him available than not at all.
As i've said before, he's not a world beater but he's a decent option to have, same as Matty russell.

There seems to be a shortage of those ‘living statues’ in town centres these days?

You was right about Dudson, he now been deployed to a new role which is more suited to his abilities.

This is why he didn`t play last Friday, he was too tired after this :-
