Sorry but that's a load of twaddle, this is basic stuff, it's written out in big bold characters for employers, I'm not finger pointing at Wigan particularly but this is one of the easiest admin things to do and keep a check on.

Only companies that don't really do their proper due diligence regards payroll admin and/or deliberately attempting to and indeed getting away with underpaying end up in this situation. Only around one in 8 companies are caught underpaying staff according to HMRC.

If Wigan rectified and paid the deficit before being notified by HMRC then HMRC should not have outed them in my opinion, yes it's a substantial wedge for one person but it is one person/isolated incident (hopefully) and was rectified pro actively according to what people have said.
We should move along until the next club make a stuff up and then we can have a pop accordingly :lol:

Built some new apartments. They are conveting the 3 buildings into bars and restaurants supposedly.
