Due to injuries, fatigue and "dead rubbers" watch out for a "top five style" play off coming in to run to the Grand final.

I assume Catalans are out as will be the bottom five leaving Saints, Wigan, Wire, Leeds and Hull in the play off.....

Matt Shaw says talks will take place in the coming days. Sounds good??

Enough already. Award the grand final to saints, they'd probably win it anyway. Award the harry sunderland and a bag of sweets to Chris welham. Relegate catalans, deduct 15 points from Leeds for next season.

Lets just give up on the sport completely and allow Leeds, Saints and Hull to switch codes, yay !

Just read it. Seems bonkers changing the playoff criteria, scheduling and ending the "usual" rounds this weekend at such short notice.

Sky have scheduled games to be broadcast on Thursday and Friday. I wonder if the discussions on calling time on the weekly rounds did not get passed?

Surely the issue is calling time means having to rebate sky on games missed. The game can't afford that.

Plus does anyone else see the absurdity in having an "extended playoff format" of top 5....which is actually the original playoff format for this season....which was reduced to 4 teams and now they want to put it back.

Why in holy hell did they have a weekend without games shortly after restart, knowing the amount of games they had to fit

The whole season is a farce.
