Absolutely agree

Although this is a RL forum and we all care about the game, in the grand scheme of things, it is "only" a game.
Lot's of people are going to lose loved ones during this pandemic and even more will lose their jobs and livelihoods.

Let's just hope that we get through this and then can start to rebuild the world.

Puts things into perspective really.

Correct.
'Great defence, always wins games, y'only have to score one more point than them. If tha does, tha'll win, if that doesn't tha'll lose, learn from it, more than the win last week.'. Peter Fox, 1980.

It’s a reasonable comment. And besides, do you think any club would be able to afford the travel and hotel cost once Covid-19 dies down?

You conveniently forget that no clubs have to pay for travel and accommodation, do they? Toronto pay.

So no, not reasonable unless you decide to keep your rose tinted glasses on.

Argylle and Guash say hi.

In a game desperate that their top clubs produce quality players, and in a game SKY want and pay for the clubs to produce the quality players.....

SKY and the English clubs say "get lost" to clubs who can't be bothered/will never be capable of producing players.

Just one other thing and please don't think for one moment I am doubting you, but you've stated quite a few times now that Sky are looking to offer less money when they renew their contract with SL do you have proof of this or is it simply your own belief?

Do you not read the RL press? Am I to be your researcher/librarian? It's been said again and again SKY will not pay £200M next time. It was particularly confirmed by Ian Lenegan. The last deal was £200M and that was pitched at a high level to stop BT trying to take Rugby League. They don't wan't it now. Not only that the £200M was a take it or leave it offer that was to be pulled if the clubs went back to BT for a higher bid than that.

Now where is the proof France or Canada or the USA will ever throw up more than one investor? Where is the proof the two "investors" can be bothered developing any players, where is the proof they deliver paying TV deals?

I think Sky would have welcomed the viewing figures had they been able to show SBW and Israel Folau - those are the 2 players signed by the 2 gentleman you discredit while kow-towing to the owners of the English clubs.
Club owners in the other code were quite happy to pay those players big money.
I think those days have now disappeared.
The other code may suffer more than rugby league.Perhaps a more egalitarian era lies ahead.
No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

I would suggest Toronto is far better known world wide than say Leigh or Castleford.

Toronto is a Rugby Union city, they don't play league there so TWP can't develop players, they admit this. Canadian TV don't want to pay anything to televise RL, again TWP admit this. What's your point?

The future of the game remains an English pro- Superleague backed by real investors who deliver player development and a paying TV deal.
