I would also add McManus has been an outstanding corporate citizen for the club/sport having used his business skills to champion and drive forward key initiatives for his town/region across areas such as economy, health and social well being.

But hey, why let facts get in the way of petty small mindedness and bigotry

Cool story.
My club has achieved plenty thanks, I've not had any axe to grind with Saints until this year, in fact I started to feel sorry for you after the fifth year of you being humbled. Although I'd note that, unlike McManus, our chairman keeps his thoughts to himself and has built a stable rugby league business fit for the future.

I congratulate Saints for winning. But it will take a long time to remove the shadow cast by the behaviour of fans and management after the cup final. Thank God Salford have more dignity in defeat.

I'd more worry about your own yesterdays club which has spent most of the last few seasons embarrassing themselves near the relegation zone than about McManus having a moan after Wembley.

Grand Final watched by 43% more people in total than last years boring Wigan v Warrington final.

Saints are clearly the 'Barcelona' of Super League and Salford far more attractive a proposition than either of last years finalists.
