Warrington drew them into the middle and Saints fell for it. Well played Warrington.
A very enjoyable game but the refereeing standards really need looking at. Hicks was his usual self and when the video ref disallowed the Warrington try he must have been watching it from the bar.
Not a great crowd, time we moved away from the August Bank Holiday, and perhaps also moving it away from Wembley.

Great appointment by Saints, have to be favourites again next year.

They could have appointed Kristian Haggerty and you'd still be saying that.

Of course they are favourites for this year. A team that includes John Lomax, Thomas Makinson, Kevin Naiqama, James Roby, Lucas Thompson, and French International Theodore Fages is hell bent for a decisive victory.

Just like they were huge favoruties to win the CC. That went well didn't it?

I think that St Helens, being such a great club and a well coached club, will learn from the mistakes they made in the CC Final. They should go on to win at Old Trafford in October.

Kristian Woolf has just been appointed Head Coach of Newcastle Knights for the remaining games of the NRL's 2019 season, following the abrupt departure of former Huddersfield and St Helens coach, Nathan Brown, from the Newcastle job.

This appointment of Kristian Woolf will stand St Helens in good stead when Kristian Woolf takes charge of the club later this year.

Now officially confirmed as our new man for 2020.

Two year deal with the option of a third in the club's favour.

Welcome and good luck Kristian.

What's in his five year plan for the club going forward ?
