21 year old hooker Alrix da Costa, one of the most underrated players in Super League, has just signed a two year contract with Catalans Dragons. He has been an apprentice to and replacement for the masterful Michael McIlorum.
Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Rumours persist that Joshua Drinkwater will be returning to Catalans for the 2020 season, to replace the shockingly incapable Matthew Smith, and to join forces with the incredibly talented and esteemed James Maloney.

Is it McNamara's fault though?
Will he still be head coach in 2020?
Catalans always seems to be a holiday haven for players that like the easy life and a good lifestyle,But unfortunately it is always the coach that gets the boot

Didn't Greg Bird's contract offer him a coaching role once he retired as a player
Have the players decided that they want Greg Bird in a more prominent role within the club?

I think they will want him in a coaching capacity, specialising in theatrics

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Shaun Wane as Catalan coach.
SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row

Guasch has publicly stated that players are the issue and defended their coach, slagging off Gigot in particular in the process and said they rely too much on Tomkins and McIlorum.

I think McNamara will stay and they will overhaul the squad over the off season and weed out all of the bad apples.
