Should it be more punishable? Should a player trying to con the referee be sin binned ?
It's an area of the game which frustrates me and IMO is effective the standard.
What frustrates me the most is when it’s incredibly clear yet the referee gives a knock on.
Hi, I’m The Dreadnought. Better known as Dreaders and yeah, I’ve been about a bit. Im in the know on everything league related, I’m an icon in my sector and all round bad boy.
On the flip side some players try to simulate a ball steal by just dropping the ball but it seems to be in the minority.
Very true mate, there is always another side to the story. I agree with you to be fair, simulation is punished in football and this is just as bad as diving IMO

Simple solution, allow ball stealing, never used to be a problem until someone decided to stop it. We learned to hang on to the ball. If it goes to ground only desision is , was it forward of the last man to touch it or play on. If all the rules were applied with equality then there would be no need to try & gain the advantage or slow down play.

Danger there is that players completely stop looking to offload the ball, and stop passing close to the defensive line, instead keeping it "up the jumper", thus not promoting attacking play.

That was a different era. Now we'd have specialist ball stealing coaches and the game would be a shambles. We need 2 refs so 1 can concentrate on the ruck
