So they got the dispensation to sign a replacement, but then did a player swap to bring in Gale's replacement leaving them free to use the extra cap space later on?

God knows, he hasn`t had a good game in 3 years and apparently his attitude is terrible - If true, great business by Cas.

Ben Harrison at Warrington. De-registered for a year (2016?) came back a month earlier than predicted. Wire tried to get him back in the squad. RFL said not until they got somebody off the cap to fit him in. Ben Harrison went to Wakey on loan for a month.

Wasn't there something on those lines when Wakey signed Simon Grix from Warrington for the rest of the season to help Wire out with their cap problems?

Hull Live can reveal it’s not the first time the RFL have granted such a request. Clubs have been able to seek dispensation for full season injuries occurred in pre-season since the beginning of the 2016 campaign.
It’s understood clubs have to submit medical evidence regarding the injuries and if successful, said player’s salary is taken off the cap. It’s a ploy that has been utilised on several occasions by clubs over the last three years.

Yet they don’t name a single player. So they can reveal it happened, they just can’t reveal any actual examples. So reality is they don’t know for sure it’s happened.

For a quota spot, don’t think they did it because they’d be over the salary cap.

Your right Dobson was injured and we’d already signed Willie Mason on the understanding I think we were trying to get Galea or Vella on there Maltese passports which failed
