Cronulla Sharks premiership-winning coach Shane Flanagan has been deregistered by the NRL for breaching an NRL ban in 2014. This means he cannot coach in Australia for the indefinite future.
Wests Tigers CEO Justion Pascoe has suffered a similar fate for a different offence.
The Cronulla Sharks also have a salary cap problem, and are in big financial trouble.
Meanwhile Flanagan could possibly look for coaching work in England.

Wests Tigers second rower Michael Chee Kam has been charged with assaulting an Uber driver at Bondi. He is scheduled to appear in Waverley Court on February 5th.

i had a quick look at the sydney morning herald the other day. the NRL section read like a soap opera - a picture of dylan napa appearing all over social media, the entire cronulla team banned from a certain nightspot, another player (see above) charged with assault. makes our players activities pretty boring by comparison, Edit - just had a look on there today and out of the top 6 nrl stories, only 1 was actually about the rugby

Yeah, I've noticed the same. It's getting like the NFL for the offseason being about players being arrested for various things.

Please give me examples of how the NRL compares to the nfl in the past couple of months? Tip for you, it can’t. Just like union players, nfl players know how to behave unlike rugby league players who can’t

I didn't say anything about the last couple of months so why bring that up and also why use such a small sample size? It was an observation about the NRL getting like the NFL in the offseason, which is a fair comment imo.
Also, NFL players know how to behave do they , have a word with your self. If you truly followed the NFL you'd know about all the discussions about their behavior in the offseason over the years. Aaron Hernandez doesn't spring to mind no? or Rae Carruth, Stanley Wilson & Sam Hurd. They're just a few former NFL players that are/have done serious time in prison, all 15 year plus sentences. A more recent one, what about Mychal Kendricks, he's up this month and could face 25 years or what about Adam Jones, who's been charged with god knows how many different types of crimes over the years.
ATEOTD most that are reported are for DUI's or domestic violence, for example, Michael Floyd in 2017 got sent down for a month or so for DUI or Donté Stallworth had to do a year for manslaughter while drunk at the wheel in the middle of his career. Plus there are loads of former NFL players doing serious time as well.
Tbf In real numbers, they're no more likely to get in trouble in that age demographic than people in other jobs, the same as the NRL but obviously, they are high profile and in this day and age of social media, CCTV etc people get caught more.
Or what about a site that highlights among many other stats that NFL's players get arrested on average every 7 days. It also shows there's been 8 crimes in past 3 months, 20 in the past year. It sort of busts your claim about the past couple of months & totally takes a dump on your point about NFL players know how to behave. . http://nflarrest.com/

Other than to wind people up leeeBron, if you don't have anything good to say about our game why are you still on here, baring in mind you did say you'd disappear completely after your embarrassing comment about Wakefield's league position last year.
