I've supported London and questioned Mac to his face........Jean is an aussie troll. Other than that, because you disagree with my stance on Mac (ridiculous you called IIRC), you feel the need to bundle me with someone who posts NZ are better than England after England complete a 3-1 sweep.......yeah, you're a smart one alright
Mac will win promotion, but his coaching style will not deliver once they are there. That's my opinion based on his last spell at an expansion club.....not just posted to wind anyone up!

Not on about the bit about McDermott, the line about craft beer lovers and tv companies isn’t really any different to some of the comments Jean makes about certain teams trying to insult/wind up/belittle them for no reason.

It will certainly show what BM is made of. I hope he's learned some lessons with how things ended up at Leeds though - playing injured players, letting fitness levels fall to semi-pro levels etc are the sort of very avoidable mistakes which ended his time at Leeds.

He’s already showed what he’s made of as his trophy collection shows.

£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

How is my questioning the "craft beer guys" running of a separate beer festival on match day with literally thousands of free tickets being dished out and the Toronto wolfpack paying a TV production company and then giving the feed away for free the same as Jean, Immediately coming on and belittling the 2-1 series win v NZ? I question the declared attendances because my eyesight is not in need of a white stick nor a golden retriever.....not because I feel calling their stadium a toilet will get a rise as Jean et al do with their comments regarding wakey.

Read my signature. I support expansion teams but what I don't do is wholly swallow the Bullcrap dished out as proof that Toronto is the answer and that's why I question their claims. Like their claim (still there) to be the worlds first professional transatlantic sports team....it's rubbish and a blatant lie and as such get's called out as a lie......
There are no genuine Canadian Toronto supporters on here, so it's left to Jean, LeBron and Kev to wind up fans of heartland clubs by pronouncing Toronto as the solution to all the games problems.......me pointing out the holes in their stance isn't trolling.

I use facts and stats in a great number of my posts.......in this instance pointing out that Rowley failed and mac has a crap win/loss ratio at teams he hasn't inherited are valid, whilst Jeans opinion that NZ aren't worse than England in a different thread is just trolling....surely you can see that?

Good luck to Mac and Toronto in 2019....no doubt they'll make SL given they'll spend more than the rest of the teams, but thereafter,......well, we expected them in SL this coming year, so best not to speculate any more

You weren’t questioning it to here, you just threw in that line to be derogatory about the club and has nothing really to do with the topic of the appointment of McDermott.

Ah....you are referring to posts in another thread. I see.......because I gave an opinion on Mcdermott's coaching ability in a thread about Toronto (which you called ridiculous) you feel the need to equate that with a blatant troll in a different thread claiming NZ are not as bad as it would seem in an opaque effort to rile fans of England RL.......

If you can't see the difference then maybe you should seek help, because whilst I offered an opinion (in the correct thread) based on statistics from Mac's time at another expansion club, You are referencing a different thread where Jean based his opinion on the fact that Issac Luke missing was a factor i the series loss....the same Issac luke who was trying to get a game with Ireland at RLWC 2017 (https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/league/97672540/issac-luke-could-have-played-for-ireland-at-rugby-league-world-cup--coach)because he wasn't needed by the Kiwis......

Is it my use of facts that's confusing you?

Printer - anyone who frequents the Leeds board knows you were one of his stanchest defenders. That's your right. Whilst he is unfairly demonised by some Leeds fans, you can't deny he presided over a dramatic decline at the end of his time with Leeds, which could have been far better managed. So again I say this new job will show his mettle. One thing's for sure, if he hasn't learned from the obvious mistakes he made at the end of his Leeds tenure then more fool him.

It wasn’t as dramatic as some like to make out. The season before at the very same point in the season Wane had Wigan in 8th place, both had it tough with injuries. Both showed what they could go with less injuries by winning the last 2 GF’s between them.

Could he have done some things better, yes but you can say that of every single coach, and they were things he did which some said were wrong only for them to work out, rather than credit him those that were proved wrong just called him lucky.

The squad wasn’t as strong when he left but I put that more down to GH and an obvious reluctance to spend for whatever reason (probably stadium related). Do you think he was offered marquee signings from the NRL like we’re going for now and he said “no thanks get me Jack Ormondroyd and Cory Aston from the Chanpionship please” The likes of Walmsley, Bateman and recently Bentley plus other youngsters were targeted before they moved to rivals and we constantly missed out, Give him those and we’d have a much different looking pack in 2018 but it’s not his role to get the deals done.

He was a coach that preferred his experienced players and was criticised for not playing enough youngsters. When those experienced players moved on we mostly tried replacing with our academy so really didn’t give him a squad that suited his style.

Brian McDermott believes Toronto Wolfpack can "change the face of Rugby League after being unveiled as their new head coach." I agree entirely with this, as they will always have a squad of 'overseas players'. Way to go, well said Brian.....this is the future !

To be fair to Mac....he always claimed there were hundreds of LMS's and Clubb's coming through at London....he just forget to mention they were coming through for Union Clubs to snap up!

He has form of paying lip service and of delivering nowt without being handed a team with a great "spine'......The Printer will differ in opinion here but without McGuire and Sinfield he looked like a coach who had no plan B.....
