I wouldn't mind an Irish side and a Scottish side in SL but what are the chances of the usual suspects jumping on the bandwagon.

I wish everyone would read bramleyrhino's post two or three times just to get it through some thick skulls

Mr bramleyrhino speaks a lot of sense.

How about passport control, security checks and baggage reclaim?

That's really not a reason not to do something

Every time I've caught the 6:40am from Lba to Dublin, I've been in Central Dublin before 9am.

JESUS WEPT :WALL: HOW MANY TIMES?????
£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

The issue here is not the time it takes to fly to Dublin, but the costs associated with it as well as the logistics.......not to mention the "brains" behind this has 200 likes for his last venture that is now 18 months old.....

If social media likes qualify someone to run a club, Marwan Koukash is your man. Ahh he already failed miserably.

The costs I will grant you, but this is where this idea that everyone has to start in L1 doesn't help. If we see the expense of paying in Dublin as an opportunity cost (and I think we should), asking PT clubs who can I'll-afford that cost puts any expansion venture on the back foot.

Don't get me wrong, based on what I've read so far regarding a Dublin team, it strikes me as a bit "fag packet"', but I don't think that the logistics of a 45 minute hop across the Irish Sea is a big enough barrier. I've planned events in Ireland and Amsterdam from the UK, and logistically it's no more difficult than one in London

So do Cavan, Longford, Laois, Tipperary and Wicklow.

Cavan would have a clash with Swinton, Longford and Wicklow would clash kits with Warrington. and Laois would clash with Leeds

Me neither. fans think they own the game and should never be shared by non-flatcappers. Holt's Bitter run through their veins...

No thanks. Mr Pallywood is an embarrassment to the sport.
