The key point missing however (what a surprise!) is that 58% of Australia's population lives in Queensland, NSW and the ACT.
Hence, rugby league continues to call the shots regarding expansion of the other codes in Australia.
The AFL's rush to not miss the boat in those States/Territory - too late I am afraid as the history since 1908 shows - is the clearest evidence of this.
