I thought supporting Trinity was beyond the call of duty but that takes some commitment. I mean at least we were once great and have some potential. Beautiful place though Torquey is I can't ever see them troubling the Premier League but I wish them luck in trying
It's twenty years since I had any interest in football but I was keen from about 1970 -2000 and I can't remember if Torquey have ever played higher than the old third division? Please feel free to put me right

Damn it I know that I've been enough times, apologies.
Was that the old top flight? Must have been a while back, do tell?
No worries -
Mrs BG ordered me something for Xmas off t'internet and that came with it spelt Torquey!
No mate, the "new" League 1. Its was 2004-5 season. Got robbed by those cheats the (fake) MK Dons when we played them away. We were winning 2-0 and following some dodgy ref decisions, we lost 3-2 ...they survived on GD and we were relegated back to L2.... Hate that team!

Must admit, BG, a lovely place. Had many holidays there in last ten years. Riviera, Abbey Lawn, Devonshire hotels. Many years ago as a kid in the late fifties I sent letters off to many football clubs begging a programme for my collection. Two clubs very kindly sent me six different samples...... Accrington Stanley and Torquay United. Shame when both clubs lost League status.
