Don't know if Roderick Tai will be with us next season, he has been named in the PNG Hunters squad for 2023.

To be fair acutually one of hit fellow names on that list has been announced for the falcons another QRL feeder team so… who knows

it’s the train on squad not the final one… but yes I agree

The last I heard was that Tai isn't coming.

Its not certain that Appo's coming yet. his signing was announced with the dreaded 'subject to international clearance' . So not a definite that he will actually arrive yet.

We need a winger and Kyle Evans says he can't find a club. He wouldn't cost the earth and if Tai is not coming let's see is he wants to come to Bulls.

Listening to Jack Walker soundcloud interview he seems very much up for the coming season. If he plays well I fear he won't re-sign for another season unless we get promotion. Let's just enjoy seeing him whilst he's here.

I still think we're light on numbers in the centres, wings and at prop. However Mark Dunning said 2 or 3 more signings may be on the cards and that recruitment is never done anyway. I'm hopeful we will have plugged some of the more obvious gaps by the start of the season. The talk about "culture" is re-assuring. It was obvious to anyone that things were badly amiss last year. Hopefully the fine words of the coach and CEO will be backed up by deeds. Whoever we target in terms of new recruits has to be the right person and that is assessed before playing ability - seems that Dunning may have found that the squad he inherited may have been recruited with different priorities in mind.

I'm hoping, looking at the physique change in Dec Patton, that his apparent attitude last year was down to playing behind a lazy 4r5ed, never mind beaten, pack every week. I know, I should know by now that optimism is stupid but it's creeping in and I can't stop it...

Seems to have gone a bit quiet on Patton and him possibly leaving. He looked fine early on last season but as you say he ballooned in size and became a passenger on the field.

Wonder if he's got in shape under this new positive culture? On form and in the right frame of mind he could be a real plus. We shall see. With most of the roly polys now gone Patton will be surrounded (hopefully) with better attitudes and leaders which will hopefully rub off or at least keep him on the straight and narrow.

I'd be very interested to see how Scurr goes if he gets into shape properly too.

I don't know about being optimistic but I'm feeling a bit less fed up for sure. Remember we had a great pre season last year and thrashed Dewsbury (albeit it was Dewsbury) but all the positivity ran out after we got well beaten at home by Sheffield. Whether we have the necessary backbone will only be revealed when we get into the season proper.

Yes I agree the noise coming out of the camp to include ‘changes in culture’ are very positive. This is despite us being told that nothing was wrong last year of course…

Most of us just want to watch a team give their all. If this bunch of lads do that then the fans will support them
