Leigh (H) : Fri Jul 01, 2022 4:52 am
Last time we played Leigh at home we only just lost in the cup. However since then, they have added some real talent like Ferguson, Sa’u etc.

I’m not expecting a win of course. But what I do want to see is the lads do their best. If they do that and we lose by 30 then I’ll be alright.

Saying that, in attack, I’d like to see us try keep them on their toes. More grubbers to create pressure etc.

With the speed of our marker defence Ipape will beat us on his own!

He killed us last time out. We have to nullify his threat as well as the other strike players that they have if we are to have any chance.

Must say these sort of games don't have great appeal as it would take an almighty upset for us to win.

That said, Batley showed what is possible. Must say that although I'm no lover of Den Perry (Derek) at Leigh I would laugh if they went up and Fev didn't. I detect a fair bit more humility from some Leigh fans in comparison with some Fev fans this season (albeit mainly on TRL.com)

Been a fantastic owner and chairman for Leigh has Derek.

Do you mean Inu ? Junior Sa'u has signed for Keighley.

Thank goodness we kept them to "only" 22 points in the first half. It should have been far more. They're much faster than us, their forwards are attacking together, and every time they get into our 20 they look like scoring.
We're doing the usual - plodding middle attacks, looking flat in defence, boringly predictable last plays, no pressure, and when we do get over their line we drop the ball!
On top of all this, the "crowd" looks very sparse for a match against the top of the league.

You would think people didn’t want to watch us get a spanking

Gave this one a swerve as I felt that we could potentially be on the end of a battering. Sounds like a lot of other people did too.

It seems that our forwards immobility was exposed big time according to some on social media. Leigh appear to be hitting some fine form as of late.
