This is brilliant if you've not seen it:

What a fantastic interview. I'm sat in an office for 100 people with just me and one bloke avoiding each other, so it was nice to listen to. Fascinating about Catholicism, the Army and what has made him as a person. He's a complex bloke and that chat helps explain the paradox between that joker of a player pulling faces etc, and the intense coach that some people really disliked. I always thought it was odd how he evolved from player to coach and seemingly had a personality transplant but it makes sense now.

Complex is the word.

My memory of his time at Odsal will always be of Brian walking up and down the lines and cracking one joke after another when we were queueing for tickets for some final (or other..) He should have been training of course, the gym, then being where the current office is. Not sure Nobby was impressed but Brian had a good way with the one liners.

Brilliant insight to his life and thought process,, I think every wanna be rugby player should take heed of what he said,, absolute gent and certainly doesn’t need to prove a point to anyone in rugby league

Big Brian Mac fan so really enjoyed this. Always found him to have a pretty dry sense of humour. His interview before the cup semi in 2011 was genius.

A really honest insight into Brian's life. I never expected him to be so upfront and frank about his upbringing and personal life. From a RL aspect, I didn't know that he played the entire 1995 season unpaid in order to proof his worth to the club. It was intriguing to hear his side of the story about his exit at Leeds. He openly talked about certain players "giving up" during the 2018 season which led to his sacking. I also found it interesting that he would openly discuss his weaknesses as a coach.

Highly recommended for any RL fan.

Thanks, that was well worth the watch. I feel like I've learnt about myself as a result, oddly enough.
