It's a shame that game isn't at Headingley. Yes the Bulls would lose out on the bar and food takings, but most people seem to suggest that those taking are fairly low on grounds of poor quality. Probably would have been offset by the increased gate at Leeds considering the cup is a split gate.

I'm not sure. There's a novelty in playing at Odsal for Leeds fans who've forgotten how bad it is. Looking at their board and Facebook a lot seem to be intending to come.

We need every penny. I just hope the club are organised enough to capitalise.

Agree, need to capitalise on the chance for some severe cash input

Ticket prices? Same as last round? Slightly lower? Some number crunching needed I think to find the sweet spot in terms of revenue.
Personally I think it has to be lower

While it being played at Headingley may bring in more ticket money, it being at Odsal may be better long term in bringing some lapsed fans back. Hopefully they can see a cracking game with big atmosphere and catch the bug again. Plenty of HG players in the squad for them to get behind. We don't seem to be in the headlines for the wrong reasons the last couple of years.

The club need to be on the ball though. All bars open. All turnstiles open. Plenty of staff and beer. Pricing key too and £15 is about right. Don't try save a few quid on less staff etc

The point about admission is important. Too low and you don’t make enough money. Too high and you price people out of it.

As has been said, someone needs to do some number crunching.

Also, the bars need to be fully stocked and all open with sufficient staff. On the few hot days when I fancy a beer it’s not uncommon for queues to be a mile long and people end up getting hacked off and not bothering.

Same applies to the food stalls.

Those turnstiles need a drop of oil too. I hope we don’t think we can cope with the usual entrance arrangements!

This will be one of the biggest games of our season. We really need to get it right if we are going to get some of the fair weather fans back. The club should be using this as a way of generating people’s interest in the club again. I’ve spoken to a few of my friends who haven’t been to a rugby game for a few years and they’re wanting to attend. It would be rubbish if their first impression is negative due to long queues.

The first thing we need are a few more people scanning tickets. Perhaps Chalmers and some of the other higher ranking staff can help out. Build a bit of community spirit. Perhaps we could get some of the academy lads and other squad members to help out to generate a good atmosphere pre-match? I’m sure they’d be happy to help out for 30 mins.

Absolutely agree about the pricing is key for this match. Especially if it ends up being on TV too, as that will mean prices too high will just make people watch it on the box instead. There is definitely a large amount of interest already from both sets of fans and some efforts need to be put into trying to generate interest outside of those who turn up every week. As is rightly said, some of the lapsed fans may well be tempted back.

As I've said before, I wouldn't want to be in the position of deciding the gate prices for this one. A wrong call on that could make a huge difference to the bank balance.
