There may have been stuff happening behind closed doors, but the press release at the time of his departure was nothing but positive. In my experience, if someone leaves a business 'under a cloud' the parting messages are somewhat neutral - certainly not the case when JS left the RFL.
If I remember correctly, allegations were made against JS by a particular ex-referee who himself was suspended three times during his career - the final time for behaviour towards female employees. He chose to retire instead.
Firstly, I was not the poster making that leap and I wasn't doing so in my posts, however I was calling into question his general character.
Second up, I've just re read the RFL press release from when he left, and my interpretation is that whilst there is nothing negative in it, there is still a lot of neutrality in it. No reason given for departure for one. We'll have to agree to disagree. My worry is that Fev was the second job in a row for him where his departure is suddenly announced unexpectedly and no reasons are given and Bradford will be his hatrick.
Thirdly, it's entirely possible both Silverwood and Sharp are unsavory characters, it's not either/or. Of course they both might be perfectly nice chaps.
