| Biggest scalp we've had since the Leeds cup win a few years ago. What a result!

| Very surprising but welcome result. This is a game I gave us no chance of winning so it's a pretty big statement from the squad.
Plenty of games to go, but it's a very good response to the York performance.

| Quote Highlander="Highlander"We were good. Intensity was there, aggressive defence was there. Toulouse started slow and expected us to crack. When didn’t, they applied some pressure and again, expected us to break. We kept going toe to toe, their discipline went, one of their yellows should have been red, we applied pressure and they cracked. Our kicking was on point, Dec controlled things but basically, our pack was on top for large parts of that game. COYB'"
Agree with all with that. And without the likes of Walker, Thompson, Butler. Toulouse looked like a team were who use to teams just folding for them. Was a very aggressive game with each side giving each other some. We stuck at the game plan, our competition rate was superb, and we didn't back down which is fantastic to see. We moved the ball well in atrocious conditions. Really enjoyed the game and the result is a real sweetener.

| Fabulous effort all round, great to see the team playing with some self belief. Terrible refereeing once again. I've no idea why Appo was binned. Patton back to his form of early last season. Rogers and Roby looking like two very handy loan signings.

| I loved it when the crowd saw the effort going in and realised the team needed a lift in the 2nd half and COYB started rolling down from the terraces.

| I said to my Grandson that we are going to win this, the passion and effort from the team was something that has been missing for ages. It's early days but what a result. From 1 to 17 it was a great team performance up there with the Leeds cup game and it's been a long time coming hopefully we can do it again next week.

| I am still in shock...
As others have said, they came thinking they'd bully us but they just couldn't cope with being on the receiving end of what they tried to dish out.
Away from the playing I though Lawrence was magnificent channelling the teams aggression back into the actual game rather than loosing the plot. He was constantly in the thick of it, talking to the players defending their actions to the ref.
They stuck together brilliantly. 1-17 no-one backed down. Appo was visibly backed with hugs and back slaps when he was binned (questionable decision when he yellowed one of theirs for a trip - is that not automatic red anymore?).
The level of controlled mastery of being a wind up merchant that Flanagan Sr achieved was nothing short of spectacular and for once it was the opposition losing their tin and not us.
Honestly, forget the Leeds CC game. For me to see a team in red amber and black so determined to give another team a metaphorical black eye in such a way you have to go back to relegation year and where we turned over Leeds and Wigan after being relegated and we were determined to give the whole of the SL what for.
Also on questioning the ref, did anyone see them throw the ball at, I think, Lilley? I thought I did and couldn't work out why Holmes got binned for it last week but Toulouse were only penalised?

| Thing to remember about the result as well, this wasn't a "response" performance. Where we've had a couple of poor results, everyone's criticising us and we turn up to prove everyone wrong etc
This was on the back of a great result against Widnes, we'd had our second short turn around in a row (which for a PT affects us more) and we still turned up hell bent on winning this one.

| Coming from 10pts behind too. Very impressive. The side of 2022 would've given up at that point.

There was a ball thrown after Lilley stopped their breakaway. No consistency.
The ref seemed lost. He had a young linesman who was learning, but he did have an older linesman who he didn't want to listen to, so they didn't act as a unit.
The first scuffle, there was a punch thrown by ?Marian, the #13?. Lawrence kept asking about the punch, but the ref just warned both captains. Which then led to scuffle 2 as the Bulls were feeling they had to defend themselves and Toulouse felt they had got away with it. It looked like there was a headbutt from Stefani on Blackmore which then caused another scuffle. It went on report with a yellow card each.
The thing the ref missed (or decided to ignore) was the 2nd ball on the pitch for Arundel's try. I mean it's basic and you do have to play to the whistle, but the entire toulouse team were pointing at the 2nd ball while Arundel wandered through their line to score. Anyway, I've watched the highlights a few times now. Very enjoyable
