Nail on head here, for me he has overseen 3 administrations being in a position of influence. Logic says after the first two alarm bells will have rung the third time! No company in the business world would employ someone in such a position who has overseen business failure time and again, yet here he is with the supposed title of Football Manager! What on gods green earth has he achieved in rugby league to warrant that type of role?

As I and plenty of others have said the chaiman should be at the side of Bastian and McFarlane in this not Duffy

It's not just the owners. Chisholm was quoted this week as saying going unbeaten is the aim. Why do people never learn?

Duffy interviewing for the coach. Jesus Christ. "First question: What far too important job will you let me have? Second question: What are your feelings on free tickets for my pals?"

for someone who instantly criticises a missed comma your understanding of the English language is pretty dire. Or should they aim to go beaten all season?

I think self flagellation in a hair shirt would be far less painful for you than this continued pretence you are a bulls fan.

I wonder if we have surpassed the 1k mark for season ticket sales? Seems a bit quiet on that front.

I was told by someone usually quite reliable recently that we hadn't. Don't think it's all that far off the figure, but it hadn't hit 1,000 yet. It's hard to judge it properly though from current figures when we all know plenty will be holding off to see what happens with this court case, and I'd be amazed if senior people at the club didn't know and even totally understand that given last season.

Back on the subject of the coach, am I the only one who's fully expecting 10th December to come, and the club to announce Jon Sharp?

No.youre not the only one..Still think he will be the man come mid December.Still not sure what happened this week.A number of usually reliable journos had him pretty much signed on.Then come Thurs night none of it true and we are advertising the post.Something doesnt really add up.

Not at all sure why Stuart Duffy is kopping the flak on here. I don't 'know' the guy at all but I've spoken to him a few times and he comes across as a decent, loyal and pretty knowledgeable sort of bloke who, if he has a problem, it is that he is someone who, when asked, will stick up his hand and say 'yeah, I'll see what I can do'. In government terms he's a 'civil servant' trying to implement what has been decided and not the minister making the decisions, so maybe his loyalty over the years should be taken into account? Personally, I think he deserves some slack.

All I see really is when the team is out of form etc it is the coach that cops for all the calls for his head etc (just like Jimmy when Ferres had put the squad together), so when the mismanagement of the club comes into question surely everyone who is involved should be questioned? I just feel that someone who has been in a position of trust and power with owners should hold a bit more accountability. Like I asked what experience does Duffy have to give him the title football manager? You need an experienced rugby person in that position in my eyes

Maybe they feel that Duffy is an experienced rugby person given that he has been involved in the running of the club for god knows how many years.

Depends on the role. What does a football manager do? I thought it was to look after the players with all the off-field stuff?

Normally it's the coach that decides on recruitment and all the on-field stuff.

They're distinct roles and shouldn't be mixed IMO.
