I've always thought swift could make a good fullback, he's deceptively strong, and feel like getting him more involved in plays would be a good thing
He could well make a good fullback but we know we have a good fullback in lomax and we also have two good young try scoring wingers so it's sounds like we trying to put square pegs in round holes just for sake of signing someone.
Lomax is vital to us in the role he plays.

Agreed entirely, as a signing I wouldn't be completely sold on Dixon even if we needed a winger - especially since he hasn't played for almost a year now!
I'd be intrigued to see how lomax would go at 6 next to Walsh (still acting as 3rd pivot in attack) - but as it stands, there's no one worth the risk of trying it to bring in.

I don't think lomax would have same impact if he played at 6, even if he was next to the best 7 in the world. It's not knowing where he will pop up next which worries the opposition.

I'd still really love a defensively focused full back, whose only duty in attack is running off the shoulder of the ball carrier. Only that type of player would be worth moving lomax for, and like I say, nobody available fits that list!
Even playing at 6 lomax can play a similar role, it's all about balancing the rest of the side around it.
