Francis Rossi, Tunes & Chat at Warrington Parr Hall on Friday evening ...

It was always going to be something different but seemed even more hap-hazard than expected. More tunes (acoustic) than meaningful chat.

Massive Wagons supported by The Virginmarys at the Brudenell Club, Leeds earlier this week ...

The Virginmarys make plenty of noise considering there are only two of them ... enjoyed them more than I thought I might.

Massive Wagons are never going to be BIG but they do what they do very well and they certainly entertain.

Pop Evil at the Rebellion Rock Club, Manchester this evening (rescheduled from last November) ... boy they rock ... very enjoyable!

Kira Mac yesterday at the Corporation, Sheffield. Should be rivalling the likes of Halestorm & The Pretty Reckless sooner rather than later. I expected a good evening and they didn't disappoint.

Saw the Struts again recently in Manchester (02 Ritz). Every bit as good as the previous time and now with a slightly rockier sound.

Whitesnake, Foreigner and Europe at Newcastle Arena last weekend.

A chance to see my favourite front man / vocalist (Sir David of Coverdale) one last time on the Farewell Tour.

This has to be the worst organised venue I have ever attended with many of those attending missing some or all of Europe's set because it took over 45 minutes to get from the foot of the steps outside the entrance doors to actually inside the venue. FFS the capacity is only 11,000 !!!

Just listening to The Final Countdown on Planet Rock and it reminded me that it's the only Europe song I've seen performed live thanks to the utter shambles at the worst venue I've ever attended!

Those Damn Crows recently at Leeds Stylus. Second time for these guys but very enjoyable and won't be playing venues this size next time round.

Corey Taylor at Leeds Academy this evening doing a set which included Slipknot and Stone Sour songs along with material from his recent two albums.
