I enjoyed the above more than most, the Beach House and xx albums are pretty good too and I am even partial to the Calvin Harris album when I'm out running.

I had forgetten The xx album as well, belting effort which matches their first IMO

That was my problem with it - it matches their first album exactly. There's nothing new, no development. While that's fine to a certain extent, I wanted something else.

At least it's not offensively bad, like Alt-J

That's a good point about The xx as they have followed the same formula for the album (for me I like the 2nd more) but they are similar but at least they haven't fallen into the trap of the '2nd album syndrome' of a poor follow up
