Brad was spot on with his comments in that we let Saints frustrate us. That resulted in 62% completion rate. Need to be a bit smarter and cooler in these kind of games, Saints are quite happy to give away 6 again off a half break in order to set the defence again and kill momentum.
Speaking of the 6 again, they should change it so it's only applied from tackle 2 onwards. Any infringe on plays zero or 1 should result in a penalty.

| Croft is rubbish and has been from Day 1. As I have said before I wouldnt pay him in washers. I dont think Sinfield is a superstar but he is as good as Croft so why nopt play him and show Croft the door and free up cap space. As for tonight there was not one positive in attack. Our Defence was good apart from the one missed tackle by Hall and then the miss by Newman resulting in the saints try

Here we go! Does that performance not look like the truth? It was one bad performance out of two all year, were joint third on points. Just beaten the best team in the competition, put 48 on the team just below us. But yeah the team is rubbish, come off it. And where did I say the team is rubbish?

Agree with that. Saints are dirty spoilers who take everything right to the edge, but so what? It works for them, and not just against us. As the game went on we got increasingly rattled in the heat and in the last 10 mins we were shattered. The 5 day turn around from an extremely fast and high quality game against KR last week undoubtedly took its toll. That's a reality, not an excuse. As bad as we were, we didn't need to score a try to win the game. When the opposition are giving you penalties- kick them! Think we turned down 4 or 5 kick able opportunities and ended up with a big fat nil. Very frustrating. However, I always thought the post Wembley run of games - Wire, Saints, Leigh, KR, and Saints was a very tough one and 3 wins from 5 is still a decent return. We need to rest some battered bodies against Salford next week and then really hit the ground running against Wakey. Big test of character ( without Oledski) awaits.

| Hard to play against saints with a ref who's happy with a slow ruck. The most obvious way is to dominate them physically which we've now failed to do twice. Trying to move the ball quicker to make up for the loss of time and space has only led to errors. Not an easy one to solve with the players we've got.

| Let’s be honest, the team has been outplayed and Arthur has been out coached twice in a month by St Helens and Paul Wellens. Arthur has obviously never heard the quote “the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result”. We were absolutely clueless offensively. Does Arthur fly Rohan Smith back in for the games against Saints to coach attacking plays ? It’s pointless moaning about Saints tactics and the rules not being applied properly. Guess what, the rules are never applied properly, and the teams that will ultimately prosper are the one’s that can adapt their game on the hoof to whoever the ref is on the night and how he feels like enforcing the rules. We looked poorly coached and prepared, the players made terrible decisions, and we executed poorly. Not surprising we couldn’t score a single point even when we had all those penalties. Let’s hope we don’t meet Saints in the play offs because there’s only one winner.

Don't think it's true we didn't dominate them physically. Can't even really remember them having the ball near our line in the 2nd half. Our main problem was we wasted so much good ball. Lost count of the number of times we put the ball down on 2nd or 3rd tackle in good position
