Ray combined truly wonderful ball handling skills with grit and toughness in defence and was very unlucky not to have received better recognition internationally. He formed a great and successful partnership with Seabourne and Shoebottom. One of my all time favourites.
RIP Ray

Lovely footballer to watch. Great servant to the club. Agree with Juan, he was not the biggest and I think that counted against him when test teams were picked. He was also up against the likes of Doug Laughton and Mal Reilly, so no surprise was not a GB regular. Think he played when we beat the Aussies at Wembley in 73.
Great player for Leeds and a nice guy off the pitch.

Will be sadly missed.
